SI/AI + Engineering + Imagination: Tesla’s Roadster Leaves the Ground
Painless SI/AI Lab – A Hong Kong Practitioner’s Real-World SI/AI Journey (Part 41):
At a demonstration in Texas, the car drove up a curved ramp, held itself upside down with a suction system, then used compressed-air thrusters to flip and land. Tesla is taking reservations. Production is planned for 2028. The full “Rocket” version is invite-only.
That is a serious mix of engineering, SI/AI control software, and imagination.
Engineering.
The thrusters are cold-gas, not jet engines. Compressed air is stored in lightweight pressure tanks, then released through thrusters around the car. Tesla also uses a fan and seal system under the body to create downforce, which is how the demo car stuck to the ramp. This is mechanical engineering and fluid control, not a wing and a propeller.
SI/AI and control.
A person cannot trim thrust by hand in a fraction of a second. Sensors and a flight-control loop have to fire small bursts and keep the car level. The demo itself was a programmed sequence, with no one in the seat. That is the honest version of “SI/AI.”
It is fast control, not aagic pilot.
Imagination.
The interesting part is the bet. Take a road car, add SpaceX-style thrusters, and ask what a short, controlled hop can do. It is not a family vehicle that replaces a flight to the airport.
What is next?
SI/AI is a never-ending story. What comes next depends on imagination, and on whether the engineering can turn that idea into something real.
